All materials (Cement, Aggregates, Water, Admixtures, etc...) are loaded into their individual compartments. Cement can be loaded by bag, super sacks, or silo.  Aggregates are typically loaded with a skid loader or front end loader.

Independent fine and course aggregate shutter gate controls provide accurate material proportioning.  This system is accurate within 2%.  Different settings are used for each different strength mix design.  Mixes may be fine tuned on site to meet customers' needs.

The operator control panel is located at the rear corner of the machine within eye view of all major mixer components and materials.  All controls and metering devices are adjusted from this panel.  Water and or Admixtures start or stop simultaneously with the material feed lever.

Our patented chain feed delivery system is a positive drive system that accurately delivers material to the mix auger.  With Zimmerman Industries' patented material feed design, you can run any material independently from any other.  This allows ease of calibration as well as job site stone or grout deliveries.

All proportioned materials are centralized at the mixing auger hopper where actual mixing occurs.  As materials are fed continuously to the hopper, the auger continuously produces fresh metered concrete.  Mixing stations in the mix auger flighting thoroughly blend all materials simultaneously.

The concrete produced from your volumetric mixer has been accurately proportioned to provide fresh mixed concrete in the exact amount required.
