On Site Training

Zimmerman Industries, Inc. will conduct 1, 2, or 3 day training course at your location, utilizing your equipment and materials.  This course will cover the Operation, Maintenance, and Calibration of a Zim-Mixer®  - with teaching, demonstration, and hands on training for your operators.

Training School 

The goal of our training school is to teach you how to improve the profit and productivity of your Zim-Mixer.  Topics covered include: mix designs, calibration, maintenance, admixtures as well as principles of volumetric mixing and how to produce quality concrete.

Attendees receive a comprehensive training manual, hands on experience, and a Zimmerman Industries Certification upon completion of the course. This course is designed for the new operator, as well as the seasoned professional. Question and answer periods are a part of each session, ensuring that any and all applications of volumetric mixers are covered.

Lodging for 2 nights, breakfast and lunch for 3 days are included in the package price, along with a discount for additional registrants from one company.

Training Materials

Basic Maintenance Video
This video details the three levels of required maintenance on Zimmerman Industries Volumetric Mixers, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly.  Each item is shown being serviced, and described in detail.

Calibration Video
A calibration of a Zimmerman Industries Volumetric Mixer is shown, and explained.  The video walks the operator through the process of conducting the physical calibration, and using the information gathered to set the unit to produce the desired mix design.  This tape comes with a Calibration Manual, containing sample worksheets as well as blank sheets.

Operations Video
The video takes the operator through the steps in producing concrete with a Zimmerman Industries Volumetric Mixer.  It begins with the arrival on job site, positioning of unit, and setting of gates and meters to desired mix design.  It continues with instruction on production of material, delivery techniques, cleaning of unit after delivery is completed, and assuring customer satisfaction.

Parts Manual
The Zimmerman Industries Owners manual is now available in a new format.  Each section, Operation, Maintenance, Service, Parts, and Schematics have significantly expanded, with detailed descriptions, step by step instructions (complete with pictures), produced by ZII department managers.  The manual can be ordered unit specific, that is, with only the items on a particular unit listed, or with all available options included.
