EPHRATA, PA (August 1, 2013) – Zimmerman Industries, in their nonstop efforts to provide the best customer support in the industry, announced the release of the Zim-Mixer Interactive Parts System (ZIPS). This interactive parts system is the first of its kind in the volumetric industry.
Now featured in “The Concrete Producer” magazine, The ZIPS program is an online information database where owners and operators can access their manuals, order parts, print calibration data or view other pertinent material. This advanced tool is provided at no cost to Zim-Mixer owners and the system is capable of supporting mixers dating back to 2004. The ZIPS database provides easy, immediate and accurate information, available through internet access.
“Providing this service to our customer’s, just made sense.” says Jerry Stoner, President at Zimmerman Industries. “As a global leader in the volumetric industry, customer service is our top priority and ZIPS allows both domestic and international customers instant access to their manuals, schematics and part orders, no matter what time zone they are in.”
Developing and the testing of ZIPS has been a long and thorough process. Zimmerman dealer, Construmac, Mexico graciously agreed to help in the pilot program. Itza Loeza Carrasco, International Purchaser for Construmac states, “I like working with ZIPS, it is easy to use and since we have been working with ZIPS our customer quotation times have been reduced.”
Zimmerman is thrilled that they are able to provide this online resource to their customers. The Zimmerman name has been the driving force in the development and advancements within the volumetric industry for more than 50 years. The founder, Harold Zimmerman, built the very first volumetric mixer in 1962 and with programs such as ZIPS their leadership in the industry continues today.
