The latex modified Zim-Mixer is a unit designed for a particular application. Latex Modified Concrete (LMC) is primarily used as bridge deck overlay material, but may also be found in applications where waterproofing is required. The latex modified Zim-Mixer, carries all of the necessary ingredients on-board, and is equipped with components that meet or exceed all LMC standards.

Description of the Machine

The latex modified Zim-Mixer is designed to produce LMC at a rate of 30 cubic yards per hour. Latex modifier, water, and admixtures are controlled with fast acting electronic solenoid valves, ensuring that all materials start and stop simultaneously. The mixer is commonly powered by a diesel engine with a four section hydraulic pump and air compressor.

This Zim-Mixer has a 500 gallon stainless steel latex tank. This feature reduces the frequency of loading and insures ample supply of the latex modifier. The latex system also has a hydraulically driven latex pump with dedicated controls and pressure gauge. The latex delivery line has a filter, pump recycle relief valve, totalizer, metering valve, flow meter, pressure warning gauge with a light alarm, and a water flush system. A 300 gallon stainless steel water tank is standard equipment. The water delivery circuit includes; filter, hydraulically driven pump with dedicated controls, pressure gauge, totalizer, flow metering valve, flow meter, and a washout hose.

Various cement bin sizes are available, with an air load kit. This air load kit enables the cement to be filled directly from a cement tanker. The aggregate bin has two sand bin vibrators and more may be easily added. Unit configurations are available up to 14 yards.
